German uniform patch brought back by Robert C. Wilson, Sr., 1946–This patch depicts the national symbol for Germany under the National Socialist (Nazi) party. Embroidered in yellow thread, it seems to have been intended for naval personnel and was probably attached to a hat before being cut off. The backing material of the patch appears to be twill or similar fabric and the patch is attached to a herringbone wool fabric.
